Recharged Deccan take on Kings XI Punjab

Kings XI Punjab and Deccan Chargers, two teams who had similar start to IPL face-off in the second match of Super Thursday. After winning their previous matches, both the teams seem to have witnessed a shift of momentum. However as most of the purists point out, cricket is a very funny game, and one captain's food might become poison for the other captain in a rather short while.
Since Deccan Charger is a team full of big hitters, the major battle will be between the opening bowler's of Kings XI and the big three of Deccan Chargers (Gilchrist, Gibbs and Afridi). Pathan and the wayward Sreesanth will have to plot the batsmen's downfall, for if even any one out of the trio get going, then the result will be very similar to what happened against Mumbai Indians, just two days back.
Symonds' departure gives Gibbs his first game in IPL. With Laxman not preferring to bowl Symonds after the debacle against Rajasthan Royals, Gibbs would more than make up for Symonds absence with his excellent fielding and clean-hitting. Kings XI on the other hand has been badly affected by the loss of Lee and Katich. The duo will most likely be replaced by Hopes and Sarwan, which would make their batting a largely overseas one.
The batting line up of both the teams put together poses a frightening prospect for the bowlers, albeit a happy one for the crowds. If you have Yuvraj singh, Gilchrist, Sangakkara, Gibbs and Afridi teeing up in the same match, high-octane entertainment can be expected.
