Match abandoned without a ball bowled
Kolkata Knight Riders have no chance to win a slot in semi-finals as today's match was abandoned because of rain and both team got 1 point each. So, now Delhi Daredevils has good chance to make it as there total point is 13 after 13 matches. They have to still beat Mumbai Indians.
So, what about Kolkata Knighter Riders. Who to blame this? Ofcourse there weak batting is the main culprit. In just 2 matches they were able to score 200 + runs and rest of the matches they were pretty bad, there average total was near by 135 runs per innings which is not good at all in this type of fast matches. Most of the matches they were playing like test team. Saurabh Ganguly was not constant and he is a big failure. Now he will not shout in the press conference saying that he is ready for ODI team.
Dada still showed that he is boss. There is a feeling that he should not have been made captain of the team, may be Shahrukh Khan made him captain because he is crowd puller in Kolkata. So he don't want to lose on the money side of his team.
But the question is team was not upto the mark. So, what there for the next year.
This was the first year, owners are learning what to do next year. This first year would have taught them alot of lessons. From next year there is no salary cap for the players. Good inform players will get hefty salaries and if IPL gets a permanent place in ICC Future Program Calender than the things will be different.
Kolkata has only one match left against Kings XI Punjab, they would like to win that match and close there IPL account for this year in a winning note.
