Rocking Rajasthan Royals win by 3 wicket | Scorecard
Royals, who were touted as the weakest team of the tournament have become the first team to chase a 200 plus score successfully. Everyone contributed to the win-Smith and Yusuf with quickfire fifties, a blistering cameo from Kaif and Warne's finish was the icing on the cake.
Captain Shane Warne hit the fourth and fifth ball of the final over for two huge sixes to ensure Rajasthan Royals a three-wicket win over the Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League match at Hyderabad on Thursday.
The Rajsthan Royals were locked in a intense match against the Deccan Chargers, and it went down right to the finish. Needing 215 to win, the Rajasthan Royals did well to chase, but needed 17 runs of the last over to win. And as Warne smashed a SIX of the last-but-one delivery to seal the win for the Royals, the entire stadium erupted. What a match!
Earlier in the evening, the famed Symonds finally clicked, scoring a well hit 117 off just 53 balls with 18 hits to the fence (including 7 sixes). The Deccan Chargers did well, but I think they needed just a slightly higher score on this wicket. Symonds needed some more hitting support from the rest of the team that didn’t come through and that cost the Deccan Chargers their 3rd loss in a row. The Chargers need to pull things together and quickly!

South African Graeme Smith (71), playing in his first match, and Yusuf Pathan (61) were the other major contributors for the Rajasthan team while Mohammad Kaif also chipped in with an aggressive 16-ball 34.
Shahid Afridi was the most successful bowler for the home team for three wickets.
Earily today Paceman Munaf Patel was hit all over the park, he conceded 55 and 47 runs in his four overs. Royals skipper Shane Warne brought in Pathan early in the innings and the bowler responded with two wickets in an eventful over.
Pathan dismissed the dangerous Gilchrist (13) on the second ball of the over as the Australian came forward, got deceived in the air, and was stumped by wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal.
Shahid Afridi then joined his skipper and hit a six and a boundary before handing a catch to Ravinder Jadeja at mid-on while attempting a big shot.
Laxman (16) and Symonds then put on 43 runs for the third-wicket, which not only helped hosts to recover from 32 for two but set the platform for the big score.
Laxman was caught and bowled by Warne. Laxman is not performing well in this tournment. Deccan Changers team management have to think again and replace with him Gibbs.
