New Rules for IPL Games - A Suggestion

IPL games are mainly introduced for all Cricket Fans to have full entertainment & enjoyment within short duration. Money matter would be secondary aspect. So to have more excitement & fun all teams should be more or less properly balanced. Rule number one will help to have such  balance among all the teams. Second rule is to protect rights of enjoyment for all fans to have full 40 overs game under any circumstances, as they are spending their own time & money to watch these games. Also with these rules there will be more involvement  into the game from all of them while calculating & observing  the strategy of various teams & their captains to tackle these new rules.

1. There will be at least 7 bowlers to complete 20 overs. Six bowlers will bowl 3 overs each & seventh bowler will bowl remaining 2 overs. This would make game perfect balance for all teams & all captains(ICONS) will have to adapt a very thoughtful strategy with his bowlers & bowling changes. This would give more scope to All-rounders which surely help them & their national teams further in 50 over games & even in Test matches.

2. All matches should complete full 40 overs game. Team Batting first can continue batting till end of 20th over & can use all their extra players, but only first 11 players can do bowling/fielding. Team Batting second  also continue batting even after reaching the winning target. By default they will be having 10 wickets & same number of extra wickets which used by team batting first. The match points for IPL will have to change & both team will get additional points derived from quotient by calculating: {(Runs scored / number of wickets lost)/100}. Winning team would get winning  points plus this quotient points, loosing team will get only quotient points. Let us name this quotient as IPL quotient. Following example would explain this rules --

Team A scored 208 runs for 13 wickets in 20 overs. Team B  scored 233 runs loosing 11 wickets in 20 overs.

Team B would get 2 points for winning the game plus additional IPL quotient point {(220/11)/100} = 0.20

Team A will get only {(208/13)/100}=0.16 as IPL quotient points.

Thus this rule surly add more fun & excitements (& lot of calculations!) in all IPL games. All Cricket Fans must feel their Time & Paisa Vasool while watching these games!
